Michelin Guide Recognized
Huntsville put two restaurants in the inaugural Michelin Guide to the American South in November 2025 — the first time any Huntsville restaurant has appeared in the guide. Only 15 Alabama restaurants made the list statewide.
Open since 2017, owned by Church Street Family (Stephanie and Matt Mell), and led in the kitchen by Chef Juventino Manuel — whose Mexican roots and training in Asian kitchens shape a menu that is genuinely hard to categorize. Known for ossobuco, wagyu beef tacos with aji amarillo aioli, and Korobuta pork belly over mole, served with house-made cornbread in a cast iron skillet. Corporate Executive Chef Luis Branez was named Alabama Chef of the Year in 2024. Reservations via Resy.
Family-owned, opened in 2024, and already in the Michelin Guide. Michelin described it as ingredient-driven and hospitality-focused. Hville Blast calls out the K-Pop Burger as a standout and notes the BBQ offerings as unique. The menu blends traditional barbecue with Asian-inspired recipes — one of the more distinctive concepts in Huntsville's food scene right now.
Elite Tier — Best of the Rest
Consistently excellent, worth every penny, and what people mean when they say Huntsville has a real food scene now.
A modern Southern steakhouse with USDA Prime and Choice cuts, fresh seafood, home-style sides to share, and an extensive wine and bourbon list. Piano bar runs nightly, jazz trio on Sunday brunch. Weekday Blue Plate lunch specials are a smart move if you want the kitchen without the dinner price tag. Reservations and private dining available.
Long considered a fine dining staple in Huntsville, consistently cited as a go-to for romantic evenings and special occasions. Southern-influenced American cuisine in a historic setting on the Square. One of the most enduring names on any Huntsville best-of list.
Opened in 2025 in the former Heritage Club space. Menu developed with New York chef Pat Trama — grilled branzino, gochujang-glazed salmon, steak frites, house-made pastas. Cocktails named after Huntsville landmarks: Space Race, Lowe Mill's Torpedo, Redstone Arsenal. Custom booths, velvet textures, a built-in music stage, and two private dining rooms.
Handmade pastas, Roman-style pizzas, fresh seafood, and hand-crafted cocktails. One of the more talked-about openings in recent Huntsville dining memory, and the reviews are holding up.
A 13-acre development built on the 1929 Martin Stove factory footprint. The Food Garden is an elevated food court — order from multiple vendors, then spread out on the leisure lawn, rooftop patio, or inside The Booth, the climate-controlled dining hall that still shows its factory bones. Live music most nights. Options span ramen, Mexican, Mediterranean, Japanese crepes, BBQ, and more.
